    Search engine optimization is a complicated job to do. That’s why we made this SEO checklist for you that would help you learn about SEO tactics and strategies that you need to know to get your website to show up on Google and Youtube.

     
  • Content Checklist

    Content Optimization

    Title

    60-65 characters max

    Meta Description

    155-160 characters max

    Keyword

    Use once in the first 100 words

    Header 1

    Use an H1 Header Tag only once on the page

    Header 2

    Use H2 Headers to break up content

    Internal Links

    Have at least 3 internal links on the page

    External Links

    Make sure external links open in a new tab

    Uniqueness

    Confirm that content is unique - Avoid duplicate content

    Images

    Use original images or licensed stock photos

    Image Text

    Add keywords in the Alt Image Text

    Content Length

    Make sure content is 300 words minimum. The sweet spot is 2000.

    Backlinks

    Guest post articles to get backlinks - An example of this would be posting an article to your lender's website. Also, do you have a client who’s a big fan of yours? Ask them to share your link on their social media or blog.

    FAQs

    Rank for the PAA (People Also Ask Section) by adding an FAQ • See what topics are trending for certain keywords. Create your own answer to those exact same questions • PAA section is a Google Search Results Panel - and a great way to get more traffic to your website.

    Keep under 60 characters long and place your target keyword near the beginning of your title

    Tags

    Use at least 10 tags per post or video.

    Description

    Keep under 160 Characters and include your content link to learn more.

    Engage

    Comments can affect rankings, it’s important to respond to comments as well

    Keyword

    Include Your Keyword in the Content or Video and add Close Captioning

    Playlist or Linktree

    Add your video to a playlist or content link to a link promotion tool for increased traffic.

    Visit your search engine and type the topic you plan on recording and see what terms automatically pop up. Sort by most popular and look at the phrases used in titles of the videos on the first 5 pages of results
