Social Media Statistics Realtors Need to Know

We've already gone over some key statistics on current real estate agents and homebuyers. We've told you why, as a real estate professional, you should incorporate social media into your advertising repertoire, but if you still need convincing, keep reading.

As of June 27, 2017, Facebook officially reached 2 billion active users. Mark Zuckerberg modified the company's mission to be one of community building and bringing the world closer together. A real estate professional does just that, they help build up communities by introducing fresh faced and eager people into new communities. Tech Crunch reports that of those 2 billion active users, 66 percent use the platform daily. This means that over 1 billion people are on Facebook each and every day. Still think social media isn't a good way to advertise?

Now let's look at Instagram.

As of September 25, 2017, Instagram had reached 800 million active users. The company reports to have 500 million active daily users. Since Instagram is owned by Facebook, this announcement, according to CNBC, "further solidifies Facebook as one of the most dominant companies in online advertising." Not only is Instagram's userbase rapidly growing, (100 million new users in just six months) but its advertising base has grown to 2 million.

By looking at the numbers alone, it is definitely worth your time and money to advertise your real estate business on social media. By doing so, you are reaching a ridiculous amount of people, and because of Facebook Ads Manager, you can narrow down the people who see your ads to those who would be beneficial to you. There is no easier, more targeted, or wide-reaching way to advertise.

We know how overwhelming all of this can seem. That’s why The Social Agent will help you advertise on Facebook and Instagram!
